National Email Week! Thursday’s Email Management Tip: Use the person’s name

Here is your e-mail management tip of the day, during national e-mail week:

Use the person’s name.

This is not only an e-mail etiquette tip but it is a way to make sure that you are building relationships when sending email message..
I like to recommend that the person’s name be placed somewhere in every e-mail message. If it is not at “Good morning, John,” use the person’s name somewhere in the body of the message. Every time.

Just remember, one of the sweetest sounds anyone wants to hear (or see) is their name. That works in the e-mail messaging as well.
