Love Those Bricks!

In our pursuit of success, we often face criticisms from those around us.  People throw “bricks.” They can distract us from our progress. They can be uncomfortable. They can even hurt.

However, it is during these challenging (and even hurtful) moments that the our mettle can be tested. As the renowned journalist David Brinkley once said, “A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him.” I really like this quote. It encapsulates the essence of resilience and challenges us to turn criticism into opportunity.

My take: true success is not about avoiding the stones thrown our way, but in transforming them into the building blocks of our achievements. Thrown bricks to building blocks, lemons to lemonade…  when faced with criticism, setbacks, or failures, let’s rise above the negativity and use it as fuel for personal growth.

Your challenge:  Let’s think of “bricks” as  stepping stones, not stumbling blocks.
