More on each module:

Transformational Leadership in Changing Times

Transformational leaders focus on followers, motivating them to high levels of performance, and in the process, help followers develop their own leadership potential. We’ll explore what it takes to be a transformational leader who inspires, empowers, and stimulates followers to exceed normal levels of performance.

Powerful Motivation– Yours and Your Team’s

There are different types of motivation: pull vs. push. Pull motivation is when people are “pulled” to action — when they WANT to do something. Push motivation is when people feel “pushed” to action — when they feel that they have to do something, or else. The more “pull motivation” people feel, the more energetically they will behave.

This module will give you strategies that can help you increase the pull motivation among those around you, so that they do it because they WANT to, not because they “have to.”

Giving Feedback that Motivates Employee Performance

This module brings together proven tools and techniques that the leader can use when giving constructive feedback to their employees. There is a way to gain buy-in to changing behaviors. Among the techniques to be discussed are:

  • How to set the stage for positive interaction
  • When to deliver feedback
  • How to bring about change in behavior
  • How to turn a mistake into a helpful learning experience
  • How to motivate continued improving performance

Delegation That Works

Inherent in managing and leading others is the ability to delegate motivationally. This module deals with delegating not only the task, but how to also delegate the responsibility and accountability that enables workers to adopt projects and results as their own.

Monitoring progress can be done punitively or positively. We’ll explore the differences and how to ensure due dates are met or exceeded and quality of work meets or exceeds standards.

Priorities, Balance, and Time Management for the Effective Leader

How can you ever get it all done? So many things to do–soooo much stress! Setting priorities and managing time effectively is basic to managing individual and organizational performance. The pressure to find innovative ways to achieve goals, pay attention to the competition, respond quickly to customer needs, and enjoy life outside of work is even more intense in today’s less structured, information-driven workplace. Meeting the daily challenge of managing professional and personal  can enhance a leaders ability to lead. This module will give you tools to manage your priorities more effectively.

SMART Leadership Action Steps

This content filled day will come together with each participant developing action steps that will keep their SMART leadership alive, taking their own performance and that of the organization to the next level.
