“Make Time Work for You”

  by Marsha D. Egan, CPCU

“Time is the coin of your life. It is the only coin you have, and only you can determine how it will be spent. Be careful lest you let other people spend it for you.” –Carl Sandburg

Leaders manage their time.

They focus on what is important.

Then they spend their time on the most important things.

Do you?

“Time is the most valuable thing a man can spend.” -- Theophrastus

10 SECOND REALITY CHECK

How much of your time is spent satisfying others’ priorities?

Do the items on your daily “to do” list align with your life goals?

Are you proactive or reactive in spending your time?

Every morning you are handed 24 golden hours. They are one of the few things in this world that you get free of charge. If you had all the money in the world, you couldn't buy an extra hour. What will you do with this priceless treasure?-- Anonymous

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

We all have the same number of hours in the day.

We DO have control over how much of that time is spent.

You CAN spend time on YOUR most important things…

Well arranged time is the surest mark of a well arranged mind. -- Pitman

SO WHAT WILL YOU DO DIFFERENTLY?

Decide, or revisit, what is most important to you.

Compare that list to how you are spending your time,

Then make adjustments. Today.

If you want to make good use of your time, you've got to know what's most important and then give it all you've got. -- Lee Iacocca

Have a great “time!”

Marsha
